Following the move of Ty Newydd from Llandaff to Roath, Integra has registered a new care home, called Avondale, in Llandaff.
Avondale is a home for up to four men with a mental health diagnosis.
Peter Max, Responsible Individual for Integra, thanked both the CSSIW and NHS for their help in the process to re-open the home for a new client group. He paid tribute to everyone's efforts saying "We are very grateful to the teams and regulator for their help during this time as the women's service moves to Roath and we re-open the home as Avondale for a male client group. With everyone's support, we have managed to make this as easy as possible for the existing clients of Ty Newydd moving and with the new clients due to arrive at Avondale. At times this has required a lot of coordination, whilst we work with the CSSIW to ensure everything is right from a regulatory perspective. With such a positive start, we are sure Avondale will go from strength to strength - particularly in the close partnership working that will be essential with the local Multi-Disciplinary Teams in Cardiff."
